Saving...
Before we begin

Let's start with
why.

Before we talk about tiles, colours, or floor plans, we want to understand why you're doing this. What's driving it. What the home needs to do for your life. This short workshop will guide your thinking on that - and from your answers, we'll generate your North Star. It's the document we'll come back to at every stage of the project to make sure the decisions we're making are getting you where you actually want to be.

The life you live now

Tell us about your life,
not your taste.

We're not interested in what you've pinned on Pinterest - not yet. Right now we need to understand how you actually live. The people, the rhythms, the everyday reality. A home that doesn't support the way you live will never feel right, no matter how beautiful it looks.

Everyone who shapes how the space gets used - ages, relationships, routines.
The morning rush, the quiet moments, the weekends. Where does life actually happen?

Define your why

This is your
champagne moment.

Close your eyes for a second. The project is finished. You walk through the front door for the first time. Everything is exactly right. You open a bottle of champagne. What does that moment feel like? That feeling - not a colour palette or a floor plan - is what we're designing toward. This is the heart of your brief.

Not what you tell friends. What you feel in your body. Defeated? Embarrassed? Numb? That's useful information.
Not what it looks like - what it feels like. In your chest, your shoulders, your breath.
Forget what guests think. What does this space tell you about the life you've built?
How are you using it? What's different? This is the life we're designing for.
The gap

Where you are
vs. where you want to be.

Every project has a gap - between the home you're living in and the life you want it to support. Understanding what's kept that gap open is just as important as knowing where you want to end up. This is how we make sure we solve the real problem, not just the visible one.

Paint tins in the garage? A designer who didn't listen? Hours on Pinterest with nothing to show for it?
The inciting moment. The thing that shifted this from “someday” to “now.”
Going over budget Disruption to daily life Not loving the result Losing control of the process Contractor reliability Decision fatigue Partner disagreement It taking forever
Think bigger than rooms. What changes about how you feel, how you live, how you show up?
